Global fund manager Salter Brothers is furthering its investments in the hospitality industry with the acquisition of Milton Park Country House Hotel and Spa.
Located in Bowral in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, the 44-room property was once owned by acclaimed hotelier and founder of Aman Resorts, Adrian Zecha.
Dating back to 1910, Milton Park was built and run as a cattle farm by department store pioneers the Hordern family and later the Baillieu family, before opening as a hotel in 1985.
It features an adjoining wellness spa – including gym, indoor pool, and tennis courts – as well as an events and conference pavilion.
“Milton Park is a beautiful asset of significant heritage in a highly sought after destination,” said Salter Brothers Managing Director, Paul Salter.
“We have plans to substantially refurbish and reposition this estate as a leading boutique luxury lifestyle retreat in the region. The property will complement our portfolio of boutique luxury hotels and retreats.”
The purchase follows Salter Brothers’ acquisition of Spicers Retreat portfolio in December 2022.
