TFE Hotels has made a number of key appointments to its senior operations team as part of a new operational leadership structure.
Emma Soutter has been appointed Regional General Manager for NSW and ACT, overseeing 22 properties including TFE’s flagship A by Adina hotels in Sydney and Canberra.
Originally from the UK, where she gained experience in the 5-star luxury market and later worked on the London Olympics, Soutter brings more than 30 years’ industry experience.
Since moving to Australia, she has worked at the InterContinental and The Westin in Sydney, and spent seven years at the Mantra Group and, most recently, at Accor Apartments and Realty as Regional General Manager for Northern New South Wales, New Zealand, and the Gold Coast.
Meanwhile, Brisbane-based Warwick Kahl joins TFE as Regional General Manager for QLD, New Zealand, WA and NT. Kahl brings decades of experience in managing economy and luxury hotel properties – both domestically and internationally – including 5-star resort, Pullman Nadi Bay Resort and Spa, in Fiji.
In his most recent role at Accor’s Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort, Kahl oversaw a 400-room resort and a 2000-seat convention centre – the largest north of Brisbane.
Soutter and Kahl will work closely with TFE’s Regional General Manager for VIC, SA and TAS, Stephen Moore.
As part of the recent global leadership restructure, Tish Nyar has been promoted to Senior Director of Operations ANZ, taking responsibility for 51 properties in the TFE portfolio.
“TFE’s portfolio line-up and the current trading environment looks fantastic,” Nyar said.
“And with Warwick, Emma and Stephen’s combined commercial skills and strong leadership driving operational excellence, I am confident we have a solid foundation as we enter our next phase of growth.”
