Ultra-luxury Dubai resort Atlantis The Royal pulled out all the stops for an extravagant launch last weekend with a series of star-studded events garnering global media attention.
The three-day-long Grand Reveal Weekend culminated with a 60-minute performance by 29-time Grammy award-winning artist and musical icon, Beyoncé – her first live show since 2018 – attended by over a thousand celebrities and special guests.
Crafted by some of the world’s leading designers, architects and artists over the course of eight years, the Palm Island resort aims to “challenge the boundaries of imagination” and reshape the meaning of ultra-luxury travel.
Soaring 43 storeys high and spanning 406,000 square meters, the bespoke luxury resort features 795 rooms, 17 on-site restaurants and bars, a sky garden, infinity sky pool, wellness haven, ballroom, meeting rooms, and a business centre.
Restaurants Nobu and Ling Ling opened their doors over the weekend, and special guests were invited to a gastronomic experience led by culinary icons including Nobu Matsuhisa, Jose Andres, Costas Spiliadis, Ariana Bundy, the Queen of couture cakes Mich Turner, and Gaston Acurwho, all of whom are opening restaurants in the resort next month.
Atlantis Dubai Managing Director, Tim Kelly, said he looks forward to welcoming guests to the now iconic venue.
“This is it. Our moment to unveil Atlantis The Royal as the world’s most ultra-luxury entertainment resort has arrived,” he said.
“We’re delighted that global superstar Beyoncé was here to launch this extraordinary resort in an unforgettable way – a true icon, launching an icon. We are excited to begin welcoming guests in February and treat them to an experience that will completely redefine their perspective of luxury.”
