With overseas travel paused for many, encouraging guilt free travel for those with new electric vehicles is the way to forward for hotels and motels. The best way to attract new customers and in turn generate additional revenue for your business is to install an Aurora 7kw or 11kw electric vehicle charger from MG Motors Australia.
EVs are becoming more mainstream, and MG Motors in Australia and NZ are leading the charge with a multi million dollar infrastructure subsidy programme.
Over a three-year period, MG Motors is offering 3000 chargers to accommodation providers across Australia and New Zealand in a bid to boost local tourism, EV uptake and support local businesses future proof their offering to customers.
Hotels like the Carrington Hotel in Katoomba NSW have already taken up the offer and others around the country are following in their footsteps.
“MG firmly believes a customer should be able to travel to the same location in an electric vehicle as they can in a petrol-powered car,” said MG Motor Australia and New Zealand CEO, Peter Ciao.
“Our goal is to reduce an EV owner’s range anxiety on long trips, lower vehicle emissions and increase greener ways to travel.”
The MG ChargeHub is fitted with a Type 2 charging plug system so it is possible to charge most new EV such as a Tesla, Cupra, the new MG ZS EV or even a Hyundai electric vehicle.
MG’s charging solutions are fitted with two Radio Frequency Identification Cards (RFID) to gives guests and drivers of EV an alternate way to pay for charging sessions.
The 7kW ChargeHub option can recharge a typical EV battery in a quarter of the time it takes with the standard emergency cable supplied with a car.
Eligible accommodation providers can take up this limited offer of MG’s ChargeHub for the heavily discounted Program Price of only $330 + installation*. The Aurora 11kW retails for $2,090 and the 7kW for $1,990, meaning the EV wall box charger could be yours at discounts of up to $1,760 per charger.*
Hotels are already seeing the value of offering this convenience and peace of mind to electric vehicle owners. Since the initiative debuted in Australia in late November, MG has received almost 100 applications from hotels, with the uptake expected to reach at least 300 by the end of this year.
Don’t just take our word for it, MG’s team of EV experts are on hand to advise on the most cost-effective solution to suit your business needs.
