Ovolo Hotels is prioritising flexibility as part of new guest policy that is being rolled out across its network.
Based on feedback from guests, Ovolo has introduced the Care Free policy, which offers those who book direct the best rates, flexible cancellation and added perks.
As part of its competitive pricing strategy, Ovolo will offer the lowest rate to guests who book direct, and even if rates drop before check-in, Ovolo will price match. In the event that the room has been pre-paid, guests will receive the price difference in credit to spend at Ovolo.
In a bid to be more flexible, Ovolo will allow guests to easily make changes to their booking or cancel their stay. While a full pre-payment is required to confirm the booking, when cancelling more than three days out, guests will only be charged 20% of their total stay, and if it’s inside the three days prior to arrival they will be charged 30% of their stay.
Ovolo Hotels Founder and CEO, Girish Jhunjhnuwala, said it’s about providing “freedom”, a concept that continually arises in conversations with guests.
“We believe hotel guests deserve to feel a sense of freedom during their stay – freedom to enjoy WiFi, freedom to eat and drink their mini-bar dry, freedom to switch or change a booking if needed without the stress, and to know they will always get the best rate,” Jhunjhnuwala said.
“Ultimately it’s the freedom to enjoy yourself, no permission required.”
Ovolo’s perks include complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi, daily social hour, complimentary in-room minibar, self-service laundry, 24-hour gym, welcome loot bag and snacks.
