InterContinental Hotels Group will officially debut its Hotel Indigo brand in Australia in early 2021, with guests to be welcomed for the first time at its Brisbane and Adelaide Markets hotels from 31 January and 08 February, respectively.
According to the hotels’ website, rooms are now available for stays beginning from these dates, with the neighbourhood-focused brand all but set to bring its sense of community and warmth to South Australia and Queensland.
The 145-room Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets will delve into the precinct’s focus on fresh food and homewares, with colourful wall art paying homage to South Australia’s copper mining history. Guest facilities will be centred around the hotel’s modern Australian restaurant, Market and Meander, alongside the Merrymaker rooftop raw food bar. Guests will also be able to make use of a fitness centre, swimming pool and sundeck along with numerous flexible function spaces.
In Queensland, Hotel Indigo Brisbane Fortitude Valley will be part of a mixed-use development, with the hotel offering 140 rooms alongside commercial office space and retail also within the building.
“Australia loves the Adelaide Central Markets, and for good reason” said IHG Vice President Development, Abhijay Sandilya.
“It’s a local destination that has developed its own distinct identity and culture, so we know that visitors will love a hotel that can capture that essence and deliver a unique experience.”
In addition to Brisbane and Adelaide Markets, Hotel Indigo has a pipeline of hotels in Australasia which also includes future sites in Melbourne Docklands, Melbourne Little Collins Street, Sydney Central and Auckland.
