Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Darling Harbour has confirmed that its $15 million dollar refurbishment of the hotel’s accommodation rooms will commence in April 2012.
“Our owners M&L Hospitality are investing in the hotel to continue to make it the market leader in its class and the Australian hotel sector,” Starwood said in a statement.
Interior Designers Elenberg Fraser recently completed the mock up room for the refurbishment of the 630 rooms at the property, which is set to give it a substantial lift in accommodation quality.
“In order to create a sense of place, design influence was taken from the location in Darling Harbour and its position on the edge of the business district which forms our client base,” Starwood said. “Another important consideration in our approach to the guest room interiors was the consumer reaction against the excess of recent times.
“We are striving to create an interior that embraces simplicity, authenticity and an emotional response which still appeals to the discerning client.
“All rooms will be complete with wireless access and iPod connectivity to complement our new LCD televisions,” the company said.
Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Darling Harbour is also set to renovate The Corn Exchange restaurant, which will consist of new indoor furniture and a complete new outdoor setting for the terrace.
The ballroom is also being refreshed with a complete makeover consisting of all finishes and the latest Audio Visual technology. This will complement the planned improvements for The Heritage Atrium, which will also be completed in 2012
