After a decade out of the Sydney CBD, Crowne Plaza will return to the city landscape with the brand’s newest location in Darling Harbour set to welcome guests from October 1.
Ahead of a gala grand opening event a few days later featuring state dignitaries and IHG executives, Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour will begin to fill its 152 rooms with guests from around NSW and Australia. Located on the corner of Bathurst and Sussex Streets, the 13-storey hotel offers guest facilities including a rooftop swimming pool, fitness centre and three F&B venues.
Dining options will include La Bella Trattoria and Bar – albeit temporarily closed due to COVID restrictions – as well as Two 88 Bar & Kitchen, which will operate six days per week offering guests access to its extensive wine list and locally sourced menu. The express Café 58 will operate daily for guests preferring to dine on the go.
Room features include floor-to-ceiling windows, USB outlets, wireless charging stations, in-room Bluetooth speakers, unlimited high-speed WiFi and Chromecast TVs. IHG’s Sleep Advantage program will be in action at the hotel, offering guests plush bedding, pillow menus, aromatherapy spray, sustainably sourced amenities and a bedtime ritual guide.
“The hotel will champion IHG’s Greener Stay program and has retail sized sustainably sourced organic Antipodes skin care products, paperless check-in and event contracting processes, digital compendiums, no single-use plastics in conference rooms, Orca food waste processing machines, bamboo key cards, electric car charging stations and a partnership with Go Get,” a spokesperson for the hotel said.
