The Langham, Sydney has re-opened to guests following the COVID lockdown in NSW and has kicked things off again with the recruitment of Shane Jolly as its new General Manager.
Jolly arrives at the property with two decades of hotel industry experience, most recently as the Hotel Manager at Cordis, Auckland – also part of the Langham family. In his time there, Jolly played a key role overseeing the construction of a new tower at the hotel and extensive renovations to all existing rooms and F&B facilities – helping to make the hotel the largest in the city by room count.
In addition, he brings experience with The Peninsula brand in both Bangkok and Beijing as well as several Hyatt family properties in key Asian cities.
Speaking of his newest appointment, Jolly said it was a privilege to be taking on the General Manager role at The Langham, Sydney and that he was excited to be leading a great team.
“Due to the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, my immediate focus is to ensure the safety of our colleagues and guests,” he said.
“I am proud to announce that, as soon as it was possible, we made certain that The Langham, Sydney is designated an official NSW Government COVIDSafe business.
“As travel restrictions gradually ease, I look forward to working with the team, building on the accolades The Langham has already achieved and work together to contribute to the next chapter of this hotel’s remarkable story.”
