Frontline and emergency service workers can enjoy a well-deserved holiday in tropical North Queensland, with a collection of holiday resorts banding together to release a bundle of special offers for healthcare personnel.
The consortium consists of Hamilton Island and its associated properties including The Reef View Hotel and qualia, along with Daydream Island, InterContinental Hayman Island Resort and Cruise Whitsundays. The latter has reduced the price of its daily excursions to its Reefworld pontoon as its participation in the offer. Stays are valid from 1 September, with changes to these validity dates possible based on the Queensland’s government’s moves to reopen borders for interstate travel.
Daydream Island Resort is offering healthcare workers stays in a Resort Room from $250 per night, inclusive of return transport from either Hamilton Island or Proserpine Airport. Hamilton Island has opened up its Garden View rooms at Reef View Hotel from $215 per night, with qualia’s Leeward Pavilion rooms available from $700 per night.
A spokesperson for the Whitsundays group said redemption required proof of employment, a valid AHPRA registration number or a volunteer ID card.
“This offer is for Australian frontline health and emergency services workers including registered AHPRA health practitioners, general hospital workers, paramedics, police officers, firefighters and SES volunteers,” said a promotional flyer for the offers.
