A multimillion-dollar upgrade to accommodations, dining and spa facilities is now underway at Tasmania’s luxury Cradle Mountain Lodge, with Stage 1 already complete.
Primary works have seen the property launch a new room category in the King Billy Suites, which include central fireplaces, outdoor spa baths and elevated mini-bars featuring a variety of items from high-end Tasmanian producers.
Work has been completed on Highland Restaurant, with the casual vibe maintained while at the same time, introducing a new menu. The Tavern Bar & Bistro is due to reopen to guests from March 2020 once work on this venue has been completed. Improvements will include new furnishings, flooring and artworks along with a modernised bar, new wood-fired pizza oven and open kitchen, along with an expanded deck offering space for 80 more patrons. Elsewhere in the property, a beehive has been introduced in a two-pronged strategy to produce honey for guests to enjoy as well as to increase the native bee population in the area.
Two new relaxation lounges and dedicated treatment spaces for foot therapy were added to the property’s Waldheim Alpine Spa along with refurbished welcome lobby and retail areas.
