Seven executives within the Swiss-Belhotel International team have been awarded promotions amid the company’s ongoing expansion plans to launch new brands and maiden forays into new markets.
The corporate restructure will see Oliver and Edward Faull – both sons of company founder, Gavin Faull, take on the positions of Senior Vice President for Australia/New Zealand and Senior Vice President for Group Technical Services and Projects (Operations and Development) in Vietnam and Thailand respectively. Both have been promoted from similar Vice President roles.
Amid new brands entering the Australia and New Zealand markets including Swiss-Belhotel and Residences and youth hostel label Zest OK, Grant Gaskin has been named Vice President for Operations and Development for the region, with additional responsibility of advising on opportunities in the Pacific region.
Former Regional Director of Sales for New Zealand, Matthias Schulz, has been promoted to take on sales duties in both Australia and Bali. Schultz will also manage the region’s Business Development Management teams in his new role.
In the company’s Asian heartland, four more executive appointments have been announced as efforts are ramped up to grow the company’s brand portfolio in a number of key markets.
Bernanda Karo-Karo has been elevated to the role of Senior Regional and Area Director of Finance for Indonesia and Asia, taking on wider responsibility from his former focus on Indonesia. Karo-Karo will play a major role in the company’s Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam market expansion strategies.
Working directly with Edward Faull will be Lee Richard, who has advanced to the role of Vice President of Operations and Development, Group Marketing and Communication, Group Human Resources and Talent Development. Richards will also play a key role in the Thailand and Vietnam markets for the company.
The company’s latest raft of promotions closes with Garry Garcia, who now takes on the duties of Regional Director of Operations and Business Development in the Philippines. Garcia will balance the requirements of this role while remaining General Manager of the Valero Grand Suites by Swiss-Belhotel, in the Filipino city of Makati.
