Development strategies for the ongoing expansion of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts will now fall under the remit of Andy Flaig, who has been recruited by the organisation.
Flaig will head up the Southeast Asia and Pacific Rim region, based in Singapore. He replaces David Wray, who has transitioned to a new role with Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific.
Bringing three decades in hotel development to his new role, prior to joining Wyndham, Flaig served in a senior leadership role with Next Story Group where he spearheaded the group’s co-working brand, Kafnu Hotels. Prior roles have included time with Carlson Rezidor (now Radisson Hotel Group) and Jones Lang LaSalle.
“Andy comes to Wyndham with a proven track record in the areas of hotel development, investment, and asset management,” said Wyndham Hotels & Resorts President and Managing Director SEAPR, Joon Aun Ooi.
“Along with his strong leadership and extensive regional connections, he is well-positioned to lead our development team in accelerating our growth across the region.”
