Day-to-day management of two resorts currently trading under the 1834 Hospitality banner will return to Aurora Resorts after the privately-owned firm opted not to renew its contract.
Following a five-year term, Aurora Resorts will bring management of both the Aurora Ozone Hotel on Kangaroo Island, South Australia and the Aurora Alice Springs Resort in the Northern Territory, with both processes due to be complete by February 1 next year.
Aurora Resorts also owns and operates Kakadu Lodge in the Northern Territory, however this property will not be affected as it has always remained under Aurora management.
Aurora Executive Chairman, Ian Drummond, praised 1834 Hospitality for a job well done but acknowledged that as its own management operation had grown in the preceding five years, it made sense to bring the operation of both hotels back in-house.
“Having increased capacity within our own hotel management team though, we’re pleased to be able to bring the day-to-day management of both venues back in-house from next year.
“It will remain business as usual for guests and staff of both hotels, while we’re looking forward to continuing the outstanding service quality provided at both the Aurora Ozone and Aurora Alice Springs,” Drummond added.
