Radisson Hotel Group has confirmed its fifth new hotel and fourth new brand to enter New Zealand in less than a week with another new location announced in its major entry to the market.
In the company’s latest move, Queenstown will become home to a newbuild boutique Radisson Collection property, with the 61-room property to feature in the CBD and close to the city’s famed Skyline Queenstown Gondola.
Guests will have access to studio, suite, corner suite and penthouse room categories, with each room reflective of the region’s natural landscape and heritage. An onsite restaurant and day spa will make up the property’s public facilities. Radisson Collection Queenstown is due to open in the first quarter of 2022.
Radisson Hotel Group President, Asia Pacific, Katerina Giannouka, said the company was looking forward to introducing its boutique concept as part of its multi-brand expansion.
“With its dramatic scenery, cosmopolitan vibe and wealth of activities, Queenstown is one of New Zealand’s most alluring destinations. Nestled in the heart of the CBD, the new Radisson Collection hotel will allow guests to discover the spirit of this dynamic city, with its friendly atmosphere and alfresco lifestyle.”
Radisson’s latest move follows last week’s announcement of Radisson Blu, Radisson Red and Park Inn by Radisson marking the company’s maiden entry into New Zealand across new hotels in Queenstown and Lake Tekapo.
