Graeme Rutherford has been announced as the new General Manager at Sage Hotel West Perth, marking his return to the Western Australia capital after a year overseeing a property in Brisbane.
Rutherford brings experience to his new role on both sides of the Tasman, having begun with Rydges in Rotorua and moving with Event Hospitality across to Perth where he took over the management of Rydges Perth. A stint with Frasers Hospitality and the Brisbane Casino Tower preceded his current appointment at the Sage Hotels property.
“I am thrilled to be back in Perth and to be leading the team at Sage Hotel West Perth. The hotel provides a great option for accommodation with modern convenience and heritage charm,” Rutherford said.
The 101-room property occupies a heritage-listed edifice on Hay Street in the Perth CBD. Built in 1902, the hotel is located close to Kings Park and the city’s Convention Centre.
