Choice Hotels Asia-Pac has enabled the ‘Book on Google’ feature across its Australian hotel network, allowing travellers to search for their preferred hotel and complete the transaction through the Google platform rather than a third-party website.
The process means Google users can expedite the transaction by using their saved credentials, with the booking linking to the Choice reservations system and still being processed and managed by the chosen property in its internal CRS. The integration also sees Choice Hotels Asia-Pac follow its parent firm, Choice Hotels International, in enabling the feature.
Completing the transaction on Google also allows users to take advantage of the platform’s price aggregation tools to search multiple websites and find the lowest available price, effectively making Google an OTA in its own right.
Choice Privileges members can add their membership number to the booking once confirmation has been received and earn points on the transaction, the company said.
Choice Hotels Asia-Pac CEO, Trent Fraser, said the company prides itself on offering efficient guest experiences, beginning from the booking stage.
“Through our continued commitment to technology and innovation, we are pleased to offer travellers another choice when they book their next hotel stay, in addition to our own reservations system, the Choice Hotels website and App,” he said.
