The Hunter Valley has become home to Australia’s second voco after InterContinental Hotels Group this week opened the doors to the refurbished and refocused resort.
Now exhibiting the brand’s hallmark yellow colour scheme across its 70 rooms and public spaces and sustainability focus, voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley now offers features such as an onsite beehive and complimentary guest welcome gift in the form of home-grown lavender nougat. Plastic-free soft duvet bedding has been fitted across all beds, while a number of roaming farm animals cater handily to the resort’s green food leftovers, leaving a zero waste result.
Voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley was redesigned at the hand of interior designer Greg Natale who added features such as Aveda amenities to guest rooms.
Two restaurants on-site – Locavore and Epoche Lounge – exude the voco brand’s paddock-to-plate ethos, while The Conservatory tea lounge overlooks a carefully manicured rose garden.
Additional guest facilities include a fitness centre, sauna and spa, indoor heated swimming pool, billiards room and tennis court.
“Guests have a revived appetite for bold, new experiences – and we know dining continues to be one of the leading reasons we choose to travel,” said voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley General Manager, Penny Crossley.
“The Hunter Valley is renowned for its exceptional food and wine offering, so it is tremendously exciting to introduce voco to the region to enhance our beautiful estate with a new, fresh and fun approach.”
