Her role will see her cultivate and maintain high-value business relationships with hotel organisations, corporate travel agents and professional conference organisers. Harrison brings a passion for the wedding planning industry to her new role and will look to incorporate elements of this into her sales activities going forward.
Ramy Filo has been appointed as the new President of ATHOC – the Australian Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Council. A former ATHOC Director for seven years, Filo will continue to spearhead efforts for industry best practice across the timeshare sector.
Following its successful transition from the Watermark to The Park Hotel in Brisbane, The Park Hotel has appointed Tegan Baker as its new Sales Manager. Baker brings eight years of experience in the Brisbane hotel sector to her new role, with her most recent position being Conference & Event Sales Executive at the Pullman and Mercure King George Square.
Brisbane’s Emporium Hotel South Bank has appointed husband and wife team Chris Norman and Alex Liddle as its new Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef respectively. The pair have spent the last three years in similar roles at the Palazza Versace hotel on the Gold Coast and bring an extensive culinary background in Michelin-starred restaurants and high-profile Australian eateries.
The Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre has appointed ex-AccorHotels executive Darren Waite as its new Director of Sales. Prior to joining MCEC, Waite was Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for AccorHotels in Vic, Tas and SA. Waite also brings experience with CWT Solutions Group, InterContinental Hotels Group and Accenture Procurement Solutions.
