Marriott International’s W Brisbane hotel, which is slated to open in Q2 of this year, will be the location for Three Blue Ducks’ first Queensland restaurant.
Positioned overlooking the Brisbane River, the restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, with an evolving seasonal menu featuring both Queensland and northern New South Wales produce.
“When approached by W Hotel to embark on a Three Blue Ducks venture in Brisbane, it was important to us to ensure that we shared the same values and sustainable business practices”, said Jeff Bennett, Co-Owner Three Blue Ducks. “We share the same ethos for quality and we’ll be using locally sourced produce that is farmed ethically. Although our current venues greatly differ in aesthetic, our philosophy and ethos remain very much the same and we can’t wait to work alongside W Brisbane with views over the Brisbane River.”
Haldon Philp, General Manager, W Brisbane, added: “Brisbane is craving a venue like this – vibrant, honest, fresh and local with stellar views. It’s going to be a hotspot for an indulgent weekend brekky and tempting lunch or dinner in the city, a place where you feel at home amongst friends and family to share delicious dishes within a lively environment”, “We’re both non-traditional brands with a shared vision of showcasing local, real food and drinks, which makes this partnership the perfect match for W Brisbane’s signature dining experience”.
Once open, W Brisbane will feature 312 stylish guestrooms, the brand’s famous WET® Deck and 1,100 square metres of vibrant riverside event space and meeting rooms, opposite the city’s South Bank precinct.
