Vibe Hotel Marysville officially opened last night (Apr 21) in Victoria’s Yarra Valley region outside Melbourne.
The property features 101 guest rooms, including five suites, a conference centre with associated conferencing and exhibition spaces catering for up to 350 guests, a restaurant, café, gymnasium, outdoor pool and a spa and wellbeing centre that’s set to open soon.
The hotel’s restaurant and café, Radius Bar and Grill and Radius Café is led by Executive Chef Leigh Colville – formerly of Chateau Yering, The Press Club, St Katherine’s (now Hellenic Republic), a local who has returned to the area where his obsession with food began.
The 4.5 star-rated hotel has already had a significant, positive impact on the local community, with a primary focus on supporting local people and businesses.
TFE Hotels CEO, Rachel Argaman, said she was proud the hotel group joined forces with the local community and key strategic partners, to re-establish tourism into Marysville.
“TFE has partnered with Tourism Victoria and others with an aim to play a significant role in revitalising Marysville after the devastating 2009 Black Saturday bushfires,” he said.
“We hope to bring savvy travellers to Marysville to experience the hotel and the beauty of the surrounding area.
“We see ourselves as being very much part of the region, and connected to the local community,” Argaman said.
Vibe Hotels is recognised as one of the six brands within the TFE Hotels stable and Vibe Hotel Marysville marks the start of the nationwide brand refresh. Argaman said the hotel and its regional location “perfectly reflect the Vibe Hotels brand promise – Your Local Connection”.
She said the Vibe Hotel brand was evolving to take on an inspired look and feel, with a focus on the locale.
Argaman said the guest-orientated elements define the next generation of Vibe Hotels and the new brand positioning is centred on enhancing travellers’ sense of connection with each of the hotel’s local surrounds, its other guests and via technology.
