Exclusive by James Wilkinson at NZHIC in Auckland
Mantra Group’s Bob East says the company’s IPO has “been really well received” by the market and everything is “essentially complete” for a listing on June 20, 2014.
Speaking exclusively on video to HM at the 8th New Zealand Hotel Industry Conference (NZHIC) in Auckland this week (June 5), East said what the successful second attempt at an IPO “demonstrates faith in our business and our future prospects”.
Only weeks ago at the HM magazine-hosted AHICE in Melbourne on May 1, East revealed to the 400-strong crowd the company would have a second attempt and earlier this week that was confirmed.
“We had an attempt earlier in the year and we didn’t feel the markets were quite right, but clearly that situation changed,” East told HM yesterday.
In the video, he also spoke about performance for the company for the remainder of 2014 the growth of Peppers into CBD locations, particularly a soon-to-be-announced Canberra property.
