Clive van Deventer has been appointed as General Manager – Accor Vacation Club Asia, in a move that signals plans for future growth and activity for the timeshare company in SE Asia, following a downturn due to the GFC.
A fully owned subsidiary of Accor, Accor Vacation Club now numbers over 30,000 members, 21 Club owned Hotels and Resorts in Australia, NZ and Bali, and over 100 staff.
“Clive will form an integral part of our Club’s growth, and our Members can look forward to a professional, growth driven and successful phase in Asia,” said Accor Vacation Club CEO, Craig Wood.
“Clive is a proven hands-on, transformational leader with a distinguished twenty five year career and eighteen years at senior executive level within blue chip companies.
“He has a track record of consistent successes within the Vacation Ownership industry within the South Pacific and Southern Africa Region.
“He is passionate about absolute client orientation and being the best. Cool under pressure and dedicated to delivering promised objectives. Business astute and studying towards a MBA, he has managed P&L’s from AU$10million to well in excess of AU$140 million.
“Based at Accor Vacation Club’s sales centre at the Novotel Nusa Dua Bali, Clive’s team will be striving to increase Asia Club Membership, to allow the Club to expand to other parts of Asia, and increase benefits for all its Members,” he said.
