W Melbourne has launched a range of music experiences to draw guests and locals alike through its doors during the winter period.
The Flinders Lane hotel is tapping into the resurgence of vinyl and playing on the global brand’s passion for music through its Long Play offerings.
Working with music curator Rachel Phillips and local Melbourne distillers, The Gospel Whiskey, the hotel created a special in-room experience for music lovers. The Long Play package includes ‘Record Service’ room delivery, providing guests with the loan of a record player and vinyl selected by Phillips, along with two cocktails made in collaboration with The Gospel Whiskey, and the hotel’s very own cocktail bar, Curious.
In addition, the Long Play Listening Bar runs across two nights, August 1-2, at the hotel’s Extreme Wow Suite – usually reserved for AU$8,000 a night. Over two sessions per night, The Gospel will lead a masterclass of their range, while guests enjoy a cocktail created by the in-house cocktail bar, Curious, and background music played by avid vinyl enthusiasts.
On July 30, Melbourne DJ YO! Mafia – known for her electric party music and having supported music icons such as Missy Elliott – will take over Curious. Guests can avail of cocktail table service and can even book a sound themed flight of cocktails.
