Legendary restaurant and aperitivo bar Dante NYC, winner of the world’s best bar, is set for a debut in Los Angeles.
This Northern Spring 2023 will see the launch of Dante Beverly Hills at The Maybourne Beverly Hills and the new space will encompass the hotel’s exceptional rooftop which features a swimming pool, cabanas and restaurant with breath-taking views of the Hollywood Hills.
The chic design of Dante Beverly Hills will reflect the rest of the hotel, known as an art and interiors haven with contemporary spirit and style.
Dante Beverly Hills will offer its signature, award-winning, aperitivo-style cocktails, paired with an Italian and Mediterranean- inspired food menu centered around a wood-fired oven, showcasing fresh ingredients sourced from small, local producers.
An adored Greenwich Village, NYC neighborhood restaurant and bar established in 1915, Dante celebrates the traditional way of community, good living and dining.
With the reopening of the restaurant in 2015, Australians Linden Pride and Nathalie Hudson seek to preserve Dante’s original heritage whilst striving for innovation – which has earned Dante top honors including #1 and #2 World’s 50 Best Bars, Time Out New York’s Bar of the Year, and World’s Best Bar and Best American Restaurant Bar at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards.
A friendship between Maybourne Hotel Group and Dante began in spring 2022 when Dante welcomed the award-winning team from Claridge’s, sister hotel to The Maybourne Beverly Hills for a residency in the West Village outpost.
Dante Beverly Hills – which will be led by Dante’s key team – will transport the spirit for which Dante is known to the heart of Beverly Hills.
“We are incredibly happy to be opening Dante Beverly Hills,” said Linden Pride, Principal at Dante.
“We have always been inspired by Maybourne Hotel Group’s sense of hospitality, and when the opportunity arose for Dante to open at its Beverly Hills hotel, it felt like kismet.
“The Los Angeles market has intrigued us for some time, and we couldn’t be happier to immerse ourselves in the community and grow the Dante brand in an authentic, organic way.”
Distinctly chic, residential in style and nestled moments away from Rodeo Drive, The Maybourne Beverly Hills mirrors Maybourne Hotel Group’s signature service standards, offering a fresh perspective for the destination – a curated oasis of art and design that truly presents the future of luxury hospitality.
“The arrival of our much-admired friends from Dante marks our continued journey to establish The Maybourne Beverly Hills as home to some of California’s most innovative culinary experiences,” said The Maybourne Beverly Hills General Manager, Eugene Leonard.
“With a shared legacy rooted in excellence in hospitality and some of the most creative minds in cocktail creation, we feel this debut is a true meeting of the minds.”
Dante Beverly Hills is located in the Maybourne Beverly Hills hotel’s recently-renovated rooftop restaurant and pool area, featuring an expansive view overlooking the city of Los Angeles and Hollywood Hills – including a prime view of the famous Hollywood sign.
Guests familiar with Dante’s New York City locations will feel at home in the space, as the design – overseen by co- owner Nathalie Hudson – echoes that of Caffe Dante and Dante West Village.
Situated in the heart of the city within the famous Golden Triangle, The Maybourne Beverly Hills is the first North American property from Maybourne Hotel Group, owners and operators of London’s most legendary hotels – Claridge’s, The Connaught and The Berkeley.
