Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has introduced the Tryp brand to South Australia for the first time with the opening of Tryp by Wyndham Pulteney Street in Adelaide’s CBD.
Operated by Resort Management by Wyndham, a division of Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific, the AU$50 million hotel is the only Tryp by Wyndham branded property in the country at present.
“We are thrilled to see Tryp Pulteney Street Adelaide open its doors today,” said Wyndham Hotels and Resorts Vice President of Operations Southeast Asia and Pacific Rim, Ben Schumacher.
“South Australia is the fastest growing state for Wyndham Hotels and Resorts in Australia with six hotels under five different brands set to open in the coming years.”
The 120-room hotel reflects the millennial-focused brand’s creative design with tech features and social spaces and pays homage to Adelaide’s vibrant local culture.
“Tryp by Wyndham is a unique, urban, lifestyle boutique brand with a global presence,” said Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific Senior Vice President, Operations, Warren Cullum.
“Every Tryp embodies the local flavour, rhythm, and beat of cities around the world, offering guests a personal retreat at the heart of an amazing cosmopolitan experience.”
The hotel offers studio-sized Standard rooms, Deluxe rooms with superior finishes and fittings, as well as six spacious corner suites and Executive Suites on the 11th floor. The hotel also offers a gym, library, on-site bar and restaurant, business centre and a boardroom for small meetings of up to 10 people.
Cullum said it’s the perfect time to open this hotel.
“South Australia has recovered to 90% of its pre-pandemic record tourism investment high of AU$8.1 billion,” he said.
“Interstate, and intrastate, travellers are looking for new reasons to visit Adelaide. What better reason than to be one of the first guests to stay at this world class hotel, right in the beating heart of the city.’’
The Adelaide hotel marks the first hotel development build for South Australian property company, the Ginos Group.
“With Tryp by Wyndham Pulteney Street, we have delivered an iconic building for Adelaide’s skyline,’’ said Ginos Group Director, Zis Ginos.
“We are confident that over time it will become an Adelaide treasure – a place where memories are created, and the best of Adelaide is celebrated.”
