Hospitality management company QCC Collection has partnered with modular design and construction business Wild Modular to bring an innovative accommodation offering to market.
Wild Modular’s bespoke pods, combined with QCC Collection’s hospitality advisory expertise, will allow hoteliers and developers to establish or expand existing accommodation into land where traditional construction is not feasible.
An experienced hospitality management business, QCC Collection works with major hoteliers and start-ups on a variety of projects, including through its asset management arm, Motif Retreats.
QCC Collection Founder and Director, Caspar P. Schmidt, says the partnership – built on shared values around quality, efficiency and sustainability – represents a significant step forward for the hospitality industry.
“We are the first in the industry to push this out from a hospitality angle; we believe that this is the way forward,” Schmidt told HM exclusively.
“We will serve as a one-stop-shop, optimising every stage of the project lifecycle, from feasibility, design and planning approvals to construction, operator selection, pre-opening, and management with Motif Retreats.
“There’s plenty of other modular builders out there but offering all this in house is quite unique.”
While particularly suited to retreats, resorts and regional destinations, the options for modular builds are endless.
“This is a game changer for developers,” said Wild Modular Co-Founder, and Executive Director, Tahi Merrilees.
“We are helping clients unlock the potential of under-utilised land around Australia, through a fully integrated approach from concept to completion.”
Through cutting-edge design techniques, Wild Modular can complete up to 40 modules a month, without needing to assess the proposed location.
“We are fast; delivering projects in under six months, subject to necessary approvals and site works,” Merrilees said.
Wild Modular Managing Director, Alex Tattle, said he looks forward to helping create “unique, revenue-generating hospitality projects”.
“Together, Wild Modular and QCC Collection bring expertise, innovation, and a commitment to excellence which will streamline hospitality projects in Australia,” Tattle said.
Schmidt told HM there are already a number of hospitality projects in the works across Australia, including in New South Wales, Tasmania and Western Australia.
