Accor is shaking up its senior operations leadership team across the Pacific region as part of the company’s global restructure.
Scott Boyes has been appointed Senior Vice President Hotel Operations, Pacific North. In this new role, he will be responsible for Accor’s Premium, Midscale and Economy hotels under management agreements in this newly designated region which includes New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Queensland and Northern Territory.
Having worked at Accor operations for 28 years, beginning his career in hospitality with The Rest Hotel at Milsons Point, Boyes brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in operations in this region.
Adrian Williams takes up the role of Senior Vice President Hotel Operations, Pacific South. Like Boyes, he will be responsible for Accor’s Premium, Midscale and Economy hotels but in the newly designated Pacific South region, which will include Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and French Polynesia.
Having started his hospitality career at Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Canada, Williams has over 30 years of hotel operations and senior leadership experience.
Danesh Bamji has been appointed Vice President Franchise, Pacific. He will be responsible for supporting franchisees in the region to optimise their hotel revenue, performance and profitability. Bamji will lead a team focused on supporting franchise owners to accomplish superior performance and operational excellence in their hotels.
Marcus Hanna has been appointed Vice President Operations Pacific, Sofitel, MGallery and Emblem. Having spent 18 years with Accor – 12 of which were in luxury hotels – Hanna has extensive experience, both in Australia and globally, having worked in London, Malta, San Francisco and Singapore. His most recent role was Managing Director for Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford.
Accor Pacific CEO Sarah Derry said the appointments will help raise the standard of operations.
