It’s been a big week for United Airlines in Australia, with the carrier debuting San Francisco-Brisbane and re-launching Houston-Sydney and Los Angeles-Melbourne in the space of two days on October 30 and 31.
The move from United, which also saw the airline upgrade San Francisco to Melbourne from three flights a week to a daily operation from this week, has seen the carrier become the largest operator between the United States and Australia.
Things also get better in December, when the carrier adds more flight frequencies between Sydney and Houston, and Melbourne and Los Angeles, and come the end of 2022, United Airlines will offer more than 40 weekly nonstop flights connecting Australia’s three airports – Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney – to the United States.
To find out more about the new services, plus the carrier’s new Virgin Australia partnership, United’s huge European expansion this past Northern Summer and the full roll-out of Polaris Business seats on all Asia Pacific flights, Wayfarer and HM Editor-In-Chief, James Wilkinson, exclusively spoke on video to United Airlines’ Managing Director of Worldwide Sales, Marcel Fuchs, in Sydney this week (Nov 3).
