The Langham, Gold Coast celebrated its grand opening on Friday October 21, unveiling its entire service offering including dining, bar, and wellness experiences.
Since opening to guests in June 2022, the hotel has gradually introduced three additional venues onsite, The Langham’s signature Michelin-starred Cantonese fine dining restaurant, T’ang Court; open-air cocktail bar Coral Moon, and Chuan Spa, which offers holistic wellness treatments guided by Traditional Chinese practises.
“Our teams have been hard at work for the past four months to perfect our range of bar, dining and wellness offerings, ensuring everything from menus and recipes through to the fitouts and colourways reflect each venue’s individual personality that we know guests will feel the minute they walk through the door,” said The Langham Gold Coast General Manager, John O’Shea.
“Our new fine Cantonese dining restaurant, T’ang Court, open-air destination cocktail bar, Coral Moon the long-awaited traditional wellness concept, Chuan Spa, provide both our guests and drop-in patrons with something to suit any taste.
“These new experiences are the final jewels in our crown and the cherry on top to The Langham, Gold Coast truly becoming Australia’s best luxury destination.”
The hotel also welcomed media to its luxurious Chairman’s Suite, located on the 20th floor. The suite can cater to up to five guests with two large bedrooms and bathrooms as well as two separate lounge areas to offer privacy for each party.
The marble bathroom, located off the main bedroom, features two separate sink areas, shower and an opulent circular spa bathtub.
There is also a full-size study, dining area, and butler’s pantry, making it a home away from home for guests seeking longer-term stays.
The 5-star property features 339-room luxury rooms and suites in total and a number of food and beverage venues including Akoya, a lunch and dinner dining restaurant with ocean views; Palm Court, which serves up Langham’s famed Afternoon Tea; the Lobby Bar, which offers an extensive selection of rare wines and Australia’s finest spirits; and 26&Sunny, a local hotspot for coffee and food.
Its leisure facilities include an outdoor pool and swim-up pool bar, state-of-the-art health club with ocean views and a kids club.
O’Shea said the hotel has received “extraordinary support from locals and travellers from near and far” since opening.
To mark the grand opening, the hotel welcomed e up to 400 guests for a gala event at its Diamond Ballroom, with special guests, Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, Queensland Tourism Minister Stirling Hinchcliffe and Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate in attendance.
