Leading TV content provider Foxtel has formed a strategic partnership with Reivernet Group of Companies (RGC) to bring an end-to-end technology and entertainment solution to the Australian accommodation industry.
Following on from the recent launch of Foxtel’s Business iQ platform for hotels, the partnership will allow owners and operators to avail of a single hotel technology proposition with multiple content options for hoteliers and their guests, including consolidated support and delivery.
RGC will be the first to package Foxtel content into its business offering to the hospitality market, which includes Reivernet’s world-class authentication, chrome casting and Guest TV gateways, and will therefore be accountable for the performance of the network.
“We are excited to include Foxtel’s Business iQ platform as part of our overall offering,” said RGC CEO, David Stallworthy.
“Great content is key to a great stay and having Foxtel’s content available to our clients and their guests is the perfect addition to our end-to-end network offering.”
Foxtel’s Business iQ allows guest to watch live TV, stream for free from an on-demand library of movies and TV shows and cast from personal devices. It also supports hotels to communicate and engage with guests through technology. Around 400 properties – and over 23,000 rooms – are already using the platform in Australia.
RGC designs, builds, and supports complex data networks for businesses and is well established in the hotel sector with over two decades of experience. Foxtel says the partnership is a natural fit.
“RGC was a natural first hospitality partner for Foxtel Business, with their reach, experience and global group endorsements to represent us in the hospitality market,” said Foxtel Director of Sales and Marketing, Ben Campbell.
