Hilton has become the only hospitality company in the country to place in the Great Place to Work Institute’s list of Australia’s top 50 best companies to work for in 2022.
Hilton placed fifth in the large company category – for over 1000 employees – behind IT companies Cisco, Salesforce, Atlassian, and media company, REA Group.
It’s the fourth time that Hilton has featured on the list and builds on the company’s Great Place to Work certifications awarded in New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea. The company was also recently named as the top hospitality company to work for in Asia by the Institute the sixth consecutive year.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have been once again recognised by the Great Place to Work Institute as the leading hospitality company to work for in Australia,” said Hilton Area Vice President and Head of Australasia, Paul Hutton.
“This recognition is an incredible testament to our industry-leading practices and purpose-led culture that provides our Team Members with great workplace environments, diverse career opportunities and rewarding benefits.
“Despite enduring one of the most challenging times in our company’s more than 100-year history, our Team Members have remained committed to fostering a strong workplace culture for one another and have continued to live our purpose every day.”
Hilton offers around 2,000 employment opportunities each year across its Australasia corporate office and hotels.
Hilton’s Regional Director, Human Resources, Australasia, Mary Hogg, said the company is focused on supporting its employees to be their best.
“This accolade is an attribute to all of our dedicated Team Members who are the foundation of what we do; who work tirelessly and passionately to provide our guests with memorable and heartfelt experiences, and for that, we are committed to creating the best and most inclusive home at Hilton – a welcoming environment that fosters inclusion, wellness and growth and inspires our Team Members to bring their best selves to work every single day,” she said.
