Entries for the 2022 HM Awards for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence, presented by Sealy Posturepedic, have been extended until September 6 for properties, teams and individuals across the Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific region.
Now in its 20th year, the annual HM Awards are the eminent highlight on the social calendar of the hotel, hospitality and tourism sectors, with excellence to be recognised once again in more than 40 categories.
A new category will also make its HM Awards debut in 2022, ‘Innovative Collaboration’, which will recognise an outstanding collaboration between a property, a brand or a chain with an external partner, such as a technology provider, airline, travel company, a food and beverage collaboration, and much more.
HM Awards Chief Judge, Founder and HM Magazine Editor-In-Chief, James Wilkinson, said the annual event will once again recognise the incredible talent in the accommodation industry across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
“We are proud to present and host the HM Awards and recognise some of the best and the brightest people, departments and properties in the industry,” he said.
“We have seen some stunning new hotels open and others thrive in their destination, run by the best hotel staff in the world – and that’s what we can’t wait to recognise at our annual gala presentation dinner later this year.”
The 2022 gala presentation dinner will take place in Sydney on Friday 25 November at the Sydney Town Hall, one of the city’s most spectacular venues.
The charm, sophistication and character of the historic building will once again make for a glamorous night to be shared by hotels and their teams throughout Australia and New Zealand and the South Pacific.
Following glowing feedback for her performance in 2020 and 2021, beloved Australian media personality Melissa Doyle has been confirmed to return as emcee for the 2022 HM Awards.
The HM Awards are able to take place each year thanks to the event’s presenting partner and major sponsors, including Sealy Posturepedic, Hostplus Super, the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School at Torrens University Australia and Foxtel Business.
Entries for the 2022 HM Awards presented by Sealy Posturepedic will close on Tuesday 6 September.
