Accor’s The Pullman Melbourne on the Park has reopened to guests following a AU$40 million renovation.
The 419-room flagship hotel renovation, by leading architects DKO, includes 19 floors of completely upgraded Superior, Premium and Deluxe rooms and suites as well as a new Executive Lounge and William Clarke Sky Villa.
“The Pullman Melbourne on the Park has always been a leading choice for visitors coming to see Melbourne’s year-round major sporting and cultural events,” said Accor Pacific Chief Executive Officer, Sarah Derry.
“This spectacular renovation will take their hotel experience to the next level.”
Each room features a window chaise to relax and enjoy the view, while privacy glass in the bathrooms can be switched between a clear window panel and a non-transparent opaque panel.
The new Executive Lounge on Level 18 features plush velvet sofas, marble tables, a large flat screen TV and bar area with views of the MCG and city skyline towards Port Phillip Bay, while the renovated William Clarke Sky Villa offers guests a luxury experience on the top two floors of the hotel.
The re-opening comes as Melbourne hotels experience a steady increase in occupancy and forward bookings for April and beyond.
“With domestic travel still favoured by Aussies, the popularity of staycations, the much-anticipated AFL season kicking off and concerts back up and running, we’re hoping that growth to continue,” Derry said.
“We are also confident that with the easing of international restrictions, Melbourne will again take its place at the top of the wish list of international travellers, in the meantime we look forward to many Australians experiencing everything the Pullman Hotels are famous for around the globe in a world class city.”
The latest renovation follows earlier investment to transform the ground floor lobby, reception, and Cliveden Bar and Dining areas of the hotel.
