Choice Hotels Asia-Pac has opened its very first property in Thailand, in collaboration with La Vie Hotels and Resorts.
Quality Resort and Spa Patong Beach opened on Sunday March 27, following a complete refurbishment of guestrooms, facilities and public areas. The upscale resort now offers 88 rooms, 12 of which are poolside, surrounded by tropical gardens.
“Thailand and Southeast Asia are popular destinations for Australian holiday makers and as international travel returns, we are proud to be able to offer a Choice Hotels brand option in this market,” said Choice Hotels Asia-Pacific CEO, Trent Fraser.
“We have found guests are seeking extra support and security during these uncertain times and enjoy the familiarity of recognised brands like Quality Resort and Spa Patong Beach.”
Quality Resort and Spa Patong is La Vie Hotels and Resorts’ third property in Phuket, and the latest in a growing pipeline of La Vie hotels in Southeast Asia. The opening follows the recent expansion of the company’s Bangkok regional head office.
La Vie Hotels & Resorts CEO, Jerry Xu, said the partnership with Choice spells further growth in the region.
“As a master franchisor for Choice Hotels in the region, La Vie Hotels and Resorts plans to grow the Choice Hotels portfolio in select markets throughout Asia-Pac over the next several years, and Quality Resort and Spa Patong Beach Phuket will set the standard for many more to come,” Xu said.
“We’re confident that as international tourism returns, travellers will be drawn to the property, not only for its location and its facilities, but because they have the peace of mind, knowing they have an internationally recognised hotel chain ensuring safety and hygiene protocols are held to the highest standard.”
Xu hinted that La Vie will soon be making some exciting announcements about further growth in the region.
The Owner of Quality Resort and Spa Patong Beach Phuket, Amardeep Singh Khanijow, is also looking forward to welcoming visitors back.
“I have taken the time during the pandemic to consider what guests coming back to Phuket will want in a post-COVID era and partnering with an international hotel chain like Choice Hotels will position us perfectly to serve our guests as tourism returns,” he said.
“I can’t wait to share my pride and vision as Phuket welcomes visitors.”
