Wyndham Garden Kuta Beach Bali is expected to complete its major expansion project in the third quarter of this year.
Almost doubling in size from 155 rooms to 300 rooms, the IDR 143 billion development will see the addition of a new pool bar, gymnasium, additional infinity swimming pool and a children’s playground.
The redevelopment is expected to make the property more appealing for families and extended stays.
“Wyndham Garden Kuta Beach’s inviting atmosphere, competitive pricing, prime position across the road from the renowned Kuta Beach and, soon, its new facilities will make this the ideal base for families to enjoy their time in Bali,” said Wyndham Garden Kuta Beach Bali Hotel Manager, Bagus Ngura.
“The additional options onsite will give guests more variety to enjoy during their holiday. The pool bar will be a perfect spot for every occasion, from a family get-together after a day exploring to a sunset cocktail. It will offer light meals, snacks, a diverse drinks menu, a range of live international sports on TV and a pool deck, which will be used during the day for group yoga sessions.”
All hotel rooms will be upgraded to provide a more premium guest experience with complimentary Wi-Fi, air conditioning, sofa bed, working desk, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar, and 50-inch Smart TV capable of streaming or casting. The Premier Deluxe rooms will be approximately 31sqm, with an additional 6sqm of furnished patio or balcony.
The new wing, where the day spa will be relocated, will offer a contemporary take on Balinese design with a calming colour scheme, tiled floor and colourful artwork.
PT Wyndham Hotel Management, which manages Wyndham Garden Kuta Beach, predicts the hotel will achieve around 60 per cent occupancy upon opening the new wing, provided restrictions on travel have eased.
“This ambitious development has been our vision for this property for many years and we are proud to see it taking shape,” said PT Global Bali Investama Director, Sonny Inayatkhan.
“We chose to press on with the project during the COVID-19 pandemic and, while there have been some challenging moments, we are on schedule to finish at a time when international travel will be resurgent. Tourism in Bali has suffered a severe downturn since 2020 but we believe this island has a strong offering for travellers and will recover quickly once restrictions are finally eased.”
