Accor has unveiled the latest evolution of its Mercure Hotels brand with the opening of Mercure Melbourne Doncaster.
Offering contemporary design and modern conveniences, Accor believes the property sets “a new benchmark of upper midscale hotel in the region”.
Kreat Studios is behind the design of this 183-bedroom hotel, which utilises natural light to complement the space.
The modern guest rooms combine comfort and elegance, while visitors can also avail of six function spaces, expansive outdoor terraces, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool and fitness centre.
Accor Pacific CEO, Simon McGrath, said the opening of Mercure Melbourne Doncaster highlighted the importance of investing in the local tourism industry at this time.
“Creating jobs and investing in the future of the tourism and accommodation sector has never been more important,” he said.
“This hotel will play a key role in further elevating Doncaster’s profile and its attractiveness as a leisure and business destination.
“It will become a hub for visitors to enjoy the many drawcards of Melbourne’s inner north-east and its surrounding regional attractions.”
Located within 20 minutes of Melbourne’s CBD, in the busy business district of Doncaster, the hotel is expected to attract business and leisure travellers alike, including those looking to explore Victoria’s regional attractions.
