Australia has opened its first hotel under the Hilton Garden Inn brand, with guests now being welcomed at the label’s maiden location in the Western Australian town of Albany, marking the company’s fourth hotel in the state.
Two years from its initial announcement, the 108-room hotel owned by Foreshore Management has made its long-awaited debut, with guests enjoying the vibrant scene surrounding the Albany Waterfront Marina.
Available guest rooms are configured across King, Twin and Accessible configurations, of which six overlook the marina. Each room features the ‘Suite Dreams by Serta’ beds, smart televisions, work desk with ergonomic chair, free WiFi, with sofa beds also situated in interconnecting rooms.
Hilton Vice President Operations Australasia, Heidi Kunkel, said the new opening builds on the company’s existing presence in WA which includes the recently renovated Hilton Parmelia Perth, DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Northbridge and DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront.
“Its opening demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the state and our first foray into regional Western Australia,” Kunkel said.
“We look forward to further growing the Hilton Garden Inn brand in regional centres, as this hotel will be joined by Hilton Garden Inn Busselton in 2023.”
Guest facilities on site also include a ground floor restaurant serving buffet breakfast and dinner daily, adjacent bar and lounge serving a small bites menu and featuring a strong menu of locally sourced WA wines from the nearby Margaret River. The hotel also features 160 square metres of flexible event space which can be converted into three meeting rooms.
Guests can also make use of the brand’s 24-hour Grab and Go bar ‘The Shop’ which will be stocked with healthy, indulgent and locally sourced food items, craft beers and a self-service coffee bar. Other facilities include a fitness centre and self-service laundry.
Hilton Vice President, Focused Service and All Suites Brands, Asia Pacific, Jenny Milos, said the Hilton Garden Inn brand was rapidly growing across Asia-Pacific with 50 open so far and 110 in the pipeline.
“With the imminent return to travel, we believe that the award-winning focused service Hilton Garden Inn brand will be extremely well-received in Australasia, with just the right amenities for guests seeking to maximize the value of their travel experiences,” Milos said.
“We are confident that Hilton Garden Inn Albany’s upscale and affordable accommodations, modern amenities and simple sophistication – in the hands of our wonderful hotel team – are sure to create exceptional experiences for domestic business and leisure travellers alike, and international visitors when the time is right.”
