The HM Magazine Podcast, sponsored by Sealy Posturepedic, will release new episodes each month, each featuring interviews and in-depth analysis of issues concerning the sector. You’ll hear directly from the people making the decisions and driving the industry’s biggest talking points today.
The debut episode is now available to enjoy using the link below. You can also download and subscribe to the podcast on Apple iTunes Podcasts and Spotify by searching for ‘HM Magazine Podcast’.
Hosted by HM Deputy Editor, Matt Lennon, the maiden episode begins with a bang as we chat to Queensland Tourism Minister, Stirling Hinchliffe, about the Queensland Government’s recent ‘Work from Paradise’ initiative which aims to address the ongoing skills shortage and workforce issues affecting both hospitality, accommodation and the wider tourism industry as a whole.
We then dial in with IHG Hotels and Resorts and speak to the Australasian management triumvirate of Leanne Harwood, Abhijay Sandilya and Matthew Tripolone. Topics on the agenda include the brand’s recently launched Vignette Collection and its internal management change which sees Tripolone and Sandilya take on Managing Director roles for Australasia and Japan respectively.
HM Magazine Publisher, James Wells, said a wide variety of topical issues affected the sector would be explored in greater detail through the new podcast.
“The introduction of the HM podcast provides another opportunity for our valued readers within the hotel accommodation industry to remain up to date with the latest news and information from this incredibly vibrant business sector,” Wells said.
