Italian master chef Dario Fiorino has taken charge as the new Executive Chef at Hilton Brisbane, with the move seeing the highly experienced and internationally trained restaurateur rise to the top culinary role at the hotel.
His new role will see him take overall responsibility of the hotel’s entire dining operation, including the culinary team, the banqueting and events catering division and all in-room dining operations.
The Milanese native joined Hilton Brisbane in 2010 after moving to Australia, with his first responsibilities being the opening of the property’s Vintaged Bar and Grill, where he served as Chef De Cuisine before progressing up to the role of Executive Sous Chef.
Hilton Brisbane General Manager and SE Queensland Area General Manager, Chris Partridge, said he was delighted to be able to promote Fiorino to the role of Executive Chef.
“His career at Hilton Brisbane is testament to the company’s mission to provide meaningful development opportunities for team members, Partridge said.
“We look forward to Dario leading our kitchen team and sharing his wealth of knowledge and classic Italian influences to create an exciting dining experience that I know hotel guests and Brisbane locals will love.”
Speaking of his appointment, Fiorino said he was honoured to be entrusted with the hotel’s dining operations.
“I believe that food should bring ultimate joy to diners and my vision is to create delicate uncomplicated dishes using fresh local Queensland produce and premium Australian meat, infused with the unique aromas and flavours of the grill,” he said.
