Ahead of the 2021 edition of the HM Awards for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence, presented by Sealy Posturepedic, we will be taking a look back at some of the reigning category champions to see how their win validated their work and lit the fire to spur them on to even greater achievements in their professional lives.
This week, we’re checking in with Enrico Angeletti from Pullman Adelaide, who was named as a winner in the Concierge category at the 2020 HM Awards. Judges were unable to separate Enrico and his co-winner, Stefanie Wee from The Ritz-Carlton Perth, opting to name both as winners.
“I feel so honoured to be recognised as Australia’s Top Concierge as I have always wanted to be the best at what I do,” Angeletti said.
“It is an honour to work with the best team at the best hotel with the best managers and best owners a Concierge could hope for.”
Asked what the award did to inspire greater achievements in the future, Angeletti said: “It has motivated me even more to pass on my experience and mentoring others which will enable us to grow stronger – guests are always first.”
“I have enormous pride in our team, particularly in these trying times and which makes me love my work even more. It makes me want to work even harder so we can once again become one of the best hotels in our region.”
Now in its 19th year, the annual HM Awards are the eminent highlight on the social calendar of the hotel, hospitality and tourism calendar, with excellence to be recognised once again in more than 40 categories.
The HM Awards are able to take place each year thanks to the event’s presenting partner and major sponsors, including Sealy Posturepedic, Hostplus, AHS Hospitality, Dyson Appliances, Foxtel Business and Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School.
The event remains on track to take place on Friday 19 November at Sydney Town Hall.
