Western Australian hospitality investor, Patrick Prendiville, has bolstered his hospitality and boutique hotel portfolio further with its latest acquisition in Fremantle, south of Perth, which has been renamed as Bannister 22.
The hotel, formerly operating as Quality Suites Fremantle, is located on Bannister Street in the harbourside city and features 29 keys. Of these, 17 are one and two-bedroom suites equipped with internal kitchens and separate lounge facilities, with the remaining 12 configured as studio style hotel rooms. Seven offer balconies overlooking the city.
Another of Prendiville’s properties owned by his holding company, Red Rock Consolidated is the Hougoumont Hotel, which is situated across the road from Bannister 22. The latest addition adds to the existing Fremantle portfolio, which also includes the recently-renovated Warders Hotel and its associated F&B facilities, Emily Taylor and Calamity’s Rod.
Hougoumont Hotel General Manager, Marco Batacchi, said Bannister 22 would be an outstanding addition to the group which is likely to be popular with business travellers.
“You only have to look at its iconic location to understand why it is so popular for leisure and business customers alike,” he said.
“The ten-year relationship that the Hougoumont Hotel has had with travellers, combined with the space and location of Bannister 22 is a win-win for all. Our three properties cater for all types of travellers plus have a great food and beverage offering to ensure our guests’ needs are met during their stay.”
Bannister 22 is not part or associated with the Bannisters Group which operates properties in the regional NSW towns of Mollymook and Port Stephens.
