Hawkesbury Mayor Patrick Conolly was among the dignitaries on hand to cut the ceremonial ribbon to mark the completion of a multi-million dollar property-wide renovation at Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley last month.
Joined by Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley General Manager, Stephen Wills, the hotel’s 18-month transformation has resulted in the hotel now featuring eight distinctive room categories ranging from queen-bedded rooms through to a luxurious three-bedroom apartment with king beds, internal kitchen, lounge and dining area and balconies looking out to the Blue Mountains.

The renovation brings the hotel in line with the ‘Future of Crowne Plaza’ design strategy to identify and separate areas within the room for sleep, work and relaxation.
In line with the demands of modern-day guests, rooms feature numerous USB power outlets to ensure guests can keep their devices charged.
In addition, low consumption LED strip lighting was used as part of the hotel’s ongoing commitment to sustainability in addition to its practical benefits for night time navigation in and around the room.
Bathrooms have been completely refreshed with free-standing soaker baths and walk-in showers, stone and timber floating vanities and illuminating mirrors. Amenities have been replaced from single-use products into refillable bulk bottles to improve the hotel’s environmental footprint.
Further upgrades have been completed to the hotel’s arrival experience and main lobby, along with its Thalgo Day Spa and public bathrooms.

Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley General Manager, Stephen Wills, said the grand reopening was a special day for the hotel.
“Not only does it mark the start of a brand new accommodation experience in the beautiful Hawkesbury Valley, but it also celebrates the tremendous hard work and dedication of our team throughout this 18 month long refurbishment,” he said.
The work at Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley was completed in multiple stages, with the first opening earlier this year.
