Owners of Perth’s Tribe Hotel have listed its original and flagship site in Perth for sale, with JLL Hotels engaged to oversee the Expression of Interest process and facilitate transfer of title.
The 126-room property first opened in May 2017 and is located across from Perth’s iconic Kings Park and situated close to RAC Arena, the Perth Exhibition and Convention Centre and the sprawling 35-hectare Subi East development project, which is set to transform the area in the coming years.
Tribe Perth guest rooms feature floor to ceiling windows, a casual dining space and large communal spaces for casual meetings. The hotel’s architecture and interiors by Australia’s leading designers resulting in the hotel being shortlisted for a number of international design awards.
“Acknowledging the current challenges facing the hotel and tourism industry, Western Australia has benefited from a higher demand due to the fly-in, fly-out nature of the mining industry and the lack of local restrictions resulting in Perth being the strongest hotel market out of all Australian capital cities throughout 2020,” said JLL Hotels and Hospitality Group Managing Director, Mark Durran.
JLL Hotels and Hospitality Group Senior Executive, Chloe Mason, said the hotel’s short lifespan to date will provide significant tax depreciation benefits for a new owner moving forward.
“The Property’s furnishings were customed designed for the hotel, with guest rooms offering a luxury feel featuring striking views over Perth’s Kings Park. The communal facilities provide well-appointed spaces specifically designed for interacting with fellow guests, co-working or casual dining throughout the day and night.
“The Hotel is being offered to the market at a time when Perth is nearing the end of its new supply, and it’s anticipated that the increased activity in the resources sector will undoubtedly have an impact on Perth’s Hotel performance as it did during the 2010-2012 boom,” Mason added.
The Tribe Hotels lifestyle brand was created by Mark Peters before being snapped up and expanded globally by Accor, with its first European site in Paris opening in late 2020 and dozens more currently in the pipeline.
