Queensland developer Pointcorp has offered a first look inside the luxurious, new Hotel X Brisbane, which is being plugged into IHG Hotels and Resorts’ distribution system.
The 146-room Hotel X Brisbane, due to open later this month, was originally slated to become Hotel Indigo Brisbane, however, after the owners decided to go for a more luxurious feel above brand standards, it was decided to go independent for now.

Hotel X Brisbane is located in Fortitude Valley and features a ground floor restaurant and bar, an additional eatery adjacent to the rooftop pool and an event space along with concierge valet and expansive fitness centre.
The hotel has adopted an avant-garde, suave interior image, littered with contemporary artworks and backed by panoramic views of the city.
Room furnishings are similarly modern and include Justin Nicholas artworks, with top-tier rooms coming complete with Dyson and GHD appliances along with Karl Lagerfeld bathroom products – marking the international fashion magnate’s first foray into hotel amenities alongside an international brand.
Hotel X Brisbane General Manager, Mauro Leone, said he was looking forward to welcoming travellers to what he says will be “an experience like no other in the River City”.
“The Hotel X team are looking forward to welcoming our first guests with the hospitality IHG is so well known for – with a daring twist,” he said.
Pointcorp Director, Chris Vitale, said the hotel’s 24/7 positioning will provide a boost to Brisbane’s city nightlife.
“Launching as ‘Hotel X’ is a transition that extends beyond a physical space as a hotel to a superior experience for a like-minded community,” Vitale added.
Despite being independently branded, Hotel X Brisbane will be part of the IHG Hotels and Resorts family, with full sales, marketing and distribution expertise along with being part of the IHG Rewards loyalty program.
