Experienced hotel General Manager and hospitality industry veteran, Bernhard Langer, has taken charge at the Sydney Harbour Marriott as the hotel’s new General Manager.
Langer brings 23 years’ experience with Marriott International and moves to the role formerly occupied by Antony Page, who has moved to Victoria to lead the opening of the new Ritz-Carlton Melbourne.
Moving from his former role at Four Points by Sheraton Sydney Central Park, Langer crosses the city to lead Marriott’s flagship Sydney property. His extensive work history to date has seen him emerge from back-of-house roles in hotel kitchens, where he crafted his trade as an Executive Chef and F&B Director.
He has worked for brands including Westin, St Regis and Sheraton across Asia, New Zealand, the USA and several Pacific island nations.
“Undoubtedly the best part of working in hotels is the people engagement, the diversity and the unique opportunities we have to make a difference,” Langer said.
“I look forward to continuing to do what I enjoy and giving back to an industry that has served me well throughout my career.”
