Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has completed a major internal restructure to help facilitate continued growth and drive new opportunities across its South East Asia & Pacific Rim (SEAPR) region, the company has confirmed.
The company has bolstered its development team with the promotion of the highly regarded Matt Holmes, who has been elevated to the role of Head of Development for South East Asia & Pacific Rim (SEAPR). Holmes will continue to be based at the company’s Gold Coast HQ and will see him lead a development team to drive the company’s growth strategy of managed and franchised hotels.
Part of this team will include Eudo Chan, who has taken on the role of Director of Development for SEAPR. Based in Singapore, Chan will lead development opportunities in Indochina and joins the company from Onyx Hospitality Group and Radisson Hotel Group.
The changes to the development team follow a major strategic leadership restructure across the organisation late last year. These appointments included:
- Rex Loh – Vice President of Commercial, APAC
- Carl Wee – Vice President, Technical Services, APAC
- Eng San Quek – Vice President, Finance, APAC
- Matthew Brosenne – Vice President of Human Resources, APAC
- Joanne Simpson – Vice President, Legal, SEAPR
- Ben Schumacher – Vice President, Operations, SEAPR
- Edward Wang – Vice President, Operations, Greater China
- Keegan Chwa – Senior Director, Managed Operations, APAC
Wyndham Hotels and Resorts President, APAC, Joon Aun Ooi, said the new appointments will reinforce the strength of the team across Asia-Pacific.
“With decades of experience in the hospitality sector and deep knowledge across respective business functions, our senior leadership team of industry veterans is well poised to lead the APAC division with strategic insights and direction as we progress to the next stage of our growth and recovery,” Joon said.
“I am confident that they will deliver tremendous value for the company, our hotels and our partners as we propel the business forward.
“Matt has a solid track record in hotel development, and I am confident that his strong business acumen and leadership skills will make him well-placed to lead the development team as we enter a new chapter of growth.”
