Perth-born hotel brand, Tribe – the baby of Mark and Melissa Peters – has taken its first big steps into Europe, with Accor opening a new hotel in an exciting corner of Paris.
The quaint 79-room Tribe Paris Batignolles takes its ingenuity and modern, aesthetic design into the European continent, bringing the affordable and authentic concept to Parisians and global travellers as the first in a major European expansion of the brand.
Tribe’s meteoric growth was foreshadowed last year at ITB Berlin in an exclusive video with HM Editor-in-Chief, James Wilkison.
The compact yet comfortable nature of the Tribe brand is reflected in the communal, versatile layout of Tribe Paris Batignolles. Rooms feature dedicated work areas, while the hotel also features a garden terrace.
The property features a Grab & Go style coffee shop which morphs into a cocktail bar by night, featuring a drinks menu by famed mixogolist, Matthias Giroud.
Under stewardship by Accor, the Tribe brand has embarked on a major growth trajectory which will see the label appear in more than 150 cities. While London was originally earmarked as Tribe’s first international foray, it has been pipped to this mantle by the French capital, however the UK remains firmly on its short-term radar. Other cities on the drawing board for Tribe over the next few years include Amsterdam, Manchester, Venice, Riga, Warsaw, Lisbon, Berlin and Vienna.
