Karl Corkhill has joined the team at BWH Hotel Group as its new Sales Manager as the company continues to build its new-look Sales force to help drive post-pandemic market recovery.
Corkhill joins BWH following two years working in New Zealand as Business Development Manager with Thrifty Car Rental. His new role will see him take responsibility for corporate, leisure and MICE markets, focusing particularly on New Zealand and Victoria.
The appointment of Corkhill comes a few weeks after the company last month announced its new National Sales Manager in Jeanelle Witton-Smith.
BWH Hotel Group Managing Director Australasia, Graham Perry, said he was pleased to welcome Corkhill to the growing team.
“His experience complements and extends the skills within BWH and will be a real asset for our hotels across Australasia,” Perry said.
“Karl understands hotels, hospitality, travel and sales. His in-depth knowledge of the New Zealand corporate market is a real plus, as well as the fact he has previously worked with World Hotels, which is part of the BWH Hotel Group suite of brands.
“This appointment is yet one more step in our ‘road to recovery’. We’re building for a very strong 2021.”
