Multiple global accommodation and travel brands have been named among the world’s best employers in an official ranking collated by Forbes Magazine drawing on data compiled from 150,000 worker submissions.
Hotel brands appearing on the list included Marriott International (#28), Hyatt Hotels (#170), InterContinental Hotels Group (#219), Expedia Group (#451) and Wyndham Destinations (#697), with a number of airlines and global car rental companies also appearing.
Responses and votes were tabulated from employees in more than 60 countries around the world, with respondents ranking their satisfaction of their employers response to social responsibility, gender equality, talent development and this year, the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Wyndham Destinations Chief Human Resources Officer, Kimberly Marshall, said it was an honour to be recognised as one of the world’s best employers in an unprecedented year.
“We have rallied to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic in a way that ensures the safety and well-being of both our associates and our guests,” Marshall said.
“We continue to strengthen our culture of inclusion through a deeper commitment to listening and understanding among our diverse global workforce. We are taking meaningful action to enrich the communities where we live and work, we adopt substantive measures to combat inequality and support the underserved through our philanthropy. And we are confident a bright future awaits our associates”
